 A Word of Encouragement

We want to thank you for supporting our missions as we promote the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please continue praying for God to bring encouragement to all His people across the nations.  While this seems to be challenging times,it is also a time of golden opportunity.  We believe we are on the verge of the greatest move of God that we have ever seen in our life time.  Yes, there is much darkness around us but then that gives us, His Bride, the opportunity to shine brighter.

We encourage you to keep the faith realizing that Jesus will return for His bride, the church.  We continually pray for you to be strong and committed more than ever to the call upon your life.  Stand firm in the Lord and He will reward you for your faithfulness.

May His lights of glory shine into your life.

Mike Harrington's personal relationship with Christ started with a co-worker bravely witnessing to him about the goodness of God.  He was a young man, who had never been churched.  After his introduction to the forgiveness available through Christ, Mike was then delivered from a life of drugs. God gave him an instant love for the Word.  He pursued that knowledge by attending Southeastern College earning a degree in Bible and Ministry.  Mike continued on with his studies and earned a degree in Counseling.   He has been walking in forgiveness and love for more than thirty-five years.  He experienced many losses and heartaches.  Going through divorce and the loss of loved ones taught him more about the loving Father.  Mike is teaching and using his gifts to spread words of healing, compassion and God’s love to the hurting.

MISSIONARIES FOR CHRIST

Our goal is to teach people to have an ongoing relationship with Christ, not just a one-time confession of faith. We believe that being a Christian is a daily walk with Jesus, who is ever present.  He is everything that we have need of as Savior, friend, confidant, provider, comforter and guide to living a more fulfilling and peaceful life.

We minister to the body of Christ.  Yet, our ministry goes beyond the church setting.  We attempt to reach people who are less likely to be reached through the church.  We have a heart for spreading the love of Christ.  Spreading the gospel wherever the opportunity arises has been a journey in itself.  We have been called to encourage those who are struggling in their faith and reach out to those who need new hope.  Having walked through many hardships, God has given us a better understanding and ability to love people in spite of situations.  We know if it were not for the grace of God, we would be lost and stuck in our past hurts.

In today’s world of anger, hurt, disappointment, despair and hopelessness, people need to know there is hope and there is a better life through coming to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.

Peggy Harrington has served the Lord for over forty years.  In that time, she has been used of God in various forms of ministry: teaching, preaching, counseling, and building up the body of Christ.  Through the highs and lows of her life she developed a closer intimacy with God as Father.   It was after she reached the lowest point in life, that she fully understood the love and faithfulness of God.  Insecurities, poverty, homelessness, divorce, loss of a parent and cancer were instruments in shaping her trust and full dependence on the Lord.  Her life has become a platform of ministry where she encourages others that they too can be an overcomer through Christ.  She has written her story in her book, Lights of Glory.
